Time to treat yourself with this delicious take on a traditional Affogato

Wattleseed Affogato, a traditional favourite with an Aussie touch
1 tbsp Roasted and finely milled Wattleseed
 ¾ cup Hot water
1 tsp Honey or sweeten to taste
1

Boil the water

2

I use a French Press, but your way of making coffee is fine.  (Otherwise just add the wattleseed and hot water to the cup and use a tea strainer to strain out the wattleseed granules.)

Add the wattleseed and a touch of honey to taste

Add the water, leave to infuse for approx 30 sec

3

Pour into a glass.

Add a dollop of vanilla ice-cream to make the perfect Affogatto, but without the coffee!

4

You can always add some grated chocolate to the ice-cream, even some toasted macadamia nuts

The traditional Affogatto was either a dessert or a drink, a bit of both really!

But it tastes delicious.

As I do small batch wattleseed roasting I usually roast a tad darker, this gives the best results for the Affogatto.
